The latest update to WhatsApp v2.3 adds additional functionality to include the ability to send photographs, Audio Note and even video (3Gs only) to your friends using iPhone or even Black Berry that have this application!

Unfortunately for certain countries, this app will be temporarily unavailable until the next update v2.4. due to a networking issues.

These countries include France, Singapore, Switzerland, and Austrlia.

Version 2.4, which the developer already submitted to fix 3G issue for some of our users, will bring back iPod touch support.
